California, Here we Come.[SA]

Ryan is sitting alone on the couch in the tour bus. He’s staring down at his plaid pajamas and his feet are swinging over the edge of the couch. It’s around 2 in the morning and he just can’t seem to fall asleep. They're on tour in Vegas, and it brings back so many memories.
Ryan's thoughts are broken when he begins hearing shuffling coming from the bunks and he wonders if maybe someone is awake. He grabs a blanket and puts it over his thin body and pretends to be sleeping when a figure appears at the door.

“I know your awake Ryan,” Brendon slightly laughs, and Ryan's eyelids open.

“What are you doing up?” Ryan questions the younger boy.

“I got thirsty and- wait why are you awake?"
“Can’t sleep. It’s too weird being back in Vegas.”

“I know what you mean,” Brendon says and approaches the couch to where Ryan is.

“The kitchen is that way,” Ryan smiles as Brendon leans down and kisses his boyfriends lips.

“What do you say,” Brendon begins as he pulls away from Ryan’s lips, “We leave for California?”

“What!?” Ryan shouts “Are you insane?!”

“Yes I am, what do you say?” he asks the older boy.

“I say it’ll take too long!” Ryan complains.

“If we drive all night, we could make it by morning.” Brendon pouts.

“What will we tell Jon and Spencer and Zack?” Ryan asks.

“No one has to know if we decide to go,” Brendon says,

“But, I’m actually getting kind of tired,” Ryan lies.

“I could drive and you could sleep.”

“Fine,” Ryan says, because he can’t think of anymore excuses.

Brendon squeals in excitement, and Brendon leans down to kiss him.
Ryan tries to deepen the kiss but Brendon pulls away.

“You’ll have to wait for California,” Brendon smiles and winks. Both boys head for the door.

“Wait-” Ryan says. “I thought you were thirsty?” he asks.

“Would turning back be a good idea? Now c’mon let’s go!” Brendon says impatiently and grabs his boyfriend’s wrist and pulls him out the door.
